The brief

Taaryn is a multidisciplinary visual artists. Her work uses bold, vibrant colours and expressive designs to add sunshine and happiness to every project. She needed some copy to help shout about it.

The process

Talking to Taaryn made one thing clear: she didn’t feel comfortable blowing her own trumpet. Fortunately, having gained a grade 3 in the cornet when I was 16, I’m no stranger to mastering brass. I worked with her on her tone of voice, helping uncover the bits that make her who she is. I sent her my tone of voice cheat sheet (patent pending) to fill in, then used the results to craft her unique way of speaking.

Together we developed a tone of voice that was just as bright as her work, adding as much colour to her copy and she does to her designs.

Potentially the most colourful website my copy has ever appeared on.
