Lamborghini

Lamborghini Day is a celebration of everything luxury. I was brought in to generate ideas and bring the campaign to life. Vroom vroom.

The brief

When I was asked if I was up for some Lamborghini work, I just said yes. I didn’t ask what the work would involve, I just knew I’d do it. Want me to stand in front of a Lamborghini and get run over? Sure. Want me to drive my much cheaper car next to a Lamborghini to make the driver feel special? No problem. Want to tattoo the Lamborghini logo on my face and call me Lambo Boy for the rest of my life? I might up my rates, but I’m in!

Fortunately what they actually wanted was much more copy-related.

I was approached by The Fresh Group in Manchester, who were bidding to run Lamborghini Day 2024. This is a day where all UK Lamborghini drivers are invited to schmooze with their peers, see the latest brand innovations, and rev their engines without annoying the neighbours. My job was to help come up with the ideas, develop them and write them up in the most compelling way, ready for the client to see.

The process

This job saw me working with two of my favourite former colleagues - the wonderfully-named Ivano Knight, who’s a stunning strategist, and the brilliant Dan Lindley, who’s a master at making things look amazing. Together we worked on some concepts, getting under the bonnet of Lamborghini’s audience to understand what inspired them and what would excite them on the day.

Over the course of two weeks, we honed in on the true essence of the brand, and conjured up an event activation that would get engines purring.

The outcome

I can’t really show you the outcome of this yet - the event will take place later in 2024. But if one day you’re out in your garden and the ground starts to rumble, that’ll be the Bull Run - what Lamborghini call it when all their drivers drive to one place together. You’re welcome.

Planning your next event? I can give you ideas and copy for pre, during and post the occasion. Just shout.
